Research Topics

A distributed generation system, which is one of the indispensable technologies to energy saving, is studied ; an overall system analysis as well as a development of a high-performance microturbine is conducted. Also, micro thermo-fluid phenomena relating to MEMS is studied. On the other hand, a fundamental experiment concerning Hawking radiation is in progress.

Research Topics

We are currently working on "Micro Gas Turbine / Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Hybrid System", an attractive distributed energy system with over 60% of theoretical power generation efficiency. Research topics include the developments of high performance recuperator, thermal management of SOFC, DNS for flows through blades.

Research Topics

Combustion" is making the basis of a life of human beings from ancient and the importance does not still change. On the other hand, the combustion is a complicated phenomenon which includes hydrodynamics, heat transfer, chemical reaction and so on. Through understanding of phenomena, I'm now studying thermal engineering in order to utilize the combustion for effective applications.
